Welcome to the 'About Those K9 Records' article. This is a new series of articles (started in May 2007) designed to give the K9 handler in depth information about K9 records keeping as well as tips and inside information about the KANINE Software package itself. A new article will be posted each month.

 

 

About the Author

Bob Ives, a Police Sergeant with eleven years of Police service in Southwest Iowa, has been involved in Police K-9 since 1997. Bob has received training in the areas of Police K-9, Police Supervision, Drug interdiction (Desert Snow and U.S. Customs), Methamphetamine Lab Interdiction, Explosives Recognition, Computer Forensics investigation Level I and II. Bob is also a member of the North American Police Work Dog Association and is a graduate of the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy and the American Intercontinental University for studies in Business Administration and Computer programming.

 

Bob is also a Gulf War veteran, having served with the 1st infantry Division during the first Gulf War in 1991. During this tenure, Bob served as a Sgt. with a 155mm Howitzer Cannon Crew.
