KANINE 2006 Software News

Many new features have been introduced into the new KANINE 2006 software lately. And, bug or glitch reports has dropped to nothing these days. It always seems to take so long before a piece of software is truly bug free. And, the more complex the software, the longer it takes.

The overall look of the software has changed drastically since the initial release of KANINE 2006 in September 06. And, with the addition of the InfoBar on the Main Page, help information is closer than ever. the InfoBar also brought 'Reminders' with it. This will prove to be a useful function for the user. And, we will continue to improve the functionality of the Reminders as we advance.

04-10-08 Officer Management 2009- Officer Management 2009 is nearing the end of the initial development phase for the new Officer Manager 2009 Software. This software will manage all of the elusive information that typically resides in your file cabinet, such as personnel and employee info, evaluations, complaints against officers, positive and negative write ups, classes attended and required, officer contact information, duty assignments, Use of Force incident information and more....

04-10-08 Price increases scheduled- As of June 1st 2008 some price changes will take effect for KANINE 2006 software. Though still subject to change, price changes are scheduled to be as is listed below effective June 1st 2008. So, if you want to save your agency a little money, order before the price changes take effect.

Code Blue Designs strives to keep prices competitive and as reasonably low as possible. However, advertising rates, as well as everything else, have increased substantially and unfortunately we find that some price increases are necessary at this time. You'll still find us cheaper than most of our competitors as there are no extra modules to purchase.

Printable reports- We have created several new printable reports within the software. These reports are very functional and are all driven by the data that appears in the listing for each type of record. So, for instance, when looking at the Training Record Listing you can filter the records several different ways, like for a certain handler this month. When you create the report, the report is created using the data that you have selected in your filter. This gives our reports the ability to be very diverse and allows you to see only the report data that you want to report on.

Yearly Subscriptions- We are proud to be the only K-9 Software vendor (that we are aware of) that offers a yearly subscription for K-9 Software. Of course, we still offer perpetual (normal) licensing for the KANINE 2006 Software as well. With Yearly Subscriptions, you get the following:

If after using the software, you no longer require it's use (K-9 unit disbanded, etc.), you can stop your subscription at any time. Note that after your subscription expires, you will still be able to access and print all of your records, you will just not be able to enter any new records. So, in essence, the software goes back into Demo mode. This will be an exciting option for many departments and we hope that you will take advantage of this new pricing scheme. Yearly Subscriptions are now available for both Single and Unlimited handler software packages.
