The new firearms qualification module brings with it many changes. One change that was necessary was to give
admin the ability to decide who is required to perform any firearms qualifications, and who is not. Those not
marked as ‘Required to qualify’ will not show up in the personnel listing in the firearms module. This setting can be
found by going to the Personnel listing and then into the Personnel details screen.
Note that on receiving this update, LE Manager will automatically mark all employees as being required to
perform firearms qualifications. You can un check any employees that are not required to qualify, at any time.
Un-checking an employee does not remove previous firearms records, it simply does not show the records in the
firearms module.
The Firearms module is designed to track multiple firearms qualifications requirements for any of your entered
employees. This module is designed to give your agency a great amount of flexibility and yet provide a detailed
and accurate means of tracking each required qualification type.
The Mode selector shows the current mode that is selected and currently has 3 primary
modes from which to choose. These modes are:
- By Person
- All Courses (referring to firearms requirements)
- All Not Current
The real work is done in the ‘By Person’ mode. The other
modes facilitate lookups for the user. The user can switch
from mode to mode using the mode selector arrows.
When first beginning with the Firearms Module, you’ll find
the the ‘All Courses’ mode shows 5 default Course types
(or, setup requirements, which you can assign to your
employees.
Notice that the entry beneath each course type indicates
that there are ‘0 Non-Current’ records. Also Note that each
of these entries are displaying a visual icon indicating that
there are no assignments to each of these types of Course
requirement types at the current time. A warning icon
indicates that at least 1 requirement assigned to that
person is not current. Pressing the ‘Next Mode’ button will
take you to the ‘All Non Current’ mode. Notice that this list
starts out empty as, since there have been no requirement
assignments made, there are no assigned requirements
that are not current.
