The Qualification Requirement Assignments tab is where it all comes together. Once you have setup your course descriptions and defined your agency’s possible requirements, you can assign qualification requirements to your officers. (1)- Officer selection list- A selection list is provided here so that you can assign requirements to any number of selected officers at one time. Double click an officer to select his name from the list. (2)- Requirement Listing- This area shows all firearms requirements that have been assigned to the highlighted officer in the Officer Selection list. Every street officer that carries a weapon must typically qualify with the weapon that they carry. Every department might have different standards for these qualifications. For instance, one department might require that the officer qualify once per year, shooting the day course. While yet another might require once qualification for each day and night. Some officers might have more than one type of weapon and may be required to qualify with each separately. The Firearms module is designed to accommodate each of these scenarios. For instance, lets say, as in the screen shot above, you have three officers that must qualify Once in a day course only to carry their handguns. To assign the Handgun-Day requirement to these three officers, you would open the Firearms Settings Manager and navigate to the Qualification Requirement Assignments tab. Once there, check the checkbox beside each officer’s name for which you want to assign a certain requirement to. After slecting all desired officers, click the ‘Add Requirement’ link in the top right portion of this same tab. A new screen will open as show to the right. Here, simply select the requirement that you are wanting to assign to the afore selected officers and click the ‘Add requirement to the selected officer...’ button. This action will add this requirement to the selected officers. Once this ‘Add requirement’ screen is closed, you can select any officer in the list and see which requirements have been assigned to them.
